So I am speaking at a huge Capital Markets Specialists conference for bank examiners that focus on Capital Markets activities of banks.
Every presenter at the conference uses the Bloomberg screen shots to describe and analyze various bond deals, and the examiners all sit there and nod their heads and agree and take notes.
I get on stage in front of 300 examiners and I have some Bloomberg screen shots as well during my presentation. I stop mid-sentence and ask the room "You have seen a lot of Bloomberg screen shots today. Do any of you actually know how to use a Bloomberg?"
No hands go up.
"Do any of you have ACCESS to a Bloomberg?"
nope.
So we have wasted a lot of time showing them all the great analysis on Bloomberg, when they can't even get access to it.
Good thing we showed them how to use something that they won't be able to use. Good use of every body's time... FOR THREE DAYS!!
